Sea Shell Art

Images found on this page are produced through a process called "stacked" macro photography. Using a macro lens, on a full frame camera, attached to an electronic rail system, 300+ images are captured at varying intervals. Those images are then processed (i.e. "stacked") in software to produce a single, high resolution image with depth of field not achievable from a single macro lens capture. Shells collected for these prints range in size from a few millimetres to a few centimetres in size.
