This particular specimen is a highly dissected developing flower of "Canada Frost Weed." This is a red-listed species in Nova Scotia whose reproductive Biology, amongst other aspects of its biology and conservation, studied for ~10 years. I called this Boys & Girls because the stamens are present (blue), surrounding the dissected pistil (pink), displaying developing ovules (brighter pink). The image is ~ 250x magnification.
